THE POET AND THE MOON: LORCA’S FLAMENCO SOUL

THE POET AND THE MOON: LORCA’S FLAMENCO SOUL

With “The Poet and the Moon: Lorca’s Flamenco Soul”, we pay heartfelt tribute to one of Spain’s most iconic and beloved poets: Federico García Lorca. As artists and flamenco lovers, we feel a deep connection to his work—his poetry, his rhythm, and the profound emotional truth that permeates every line he ever wrote.

Through this production, we seek to explore and express how Lorca’s words continue to echo in the heart of Flamenco. For us, this is not just a performance—it is a journey through Lorca’s world, guided by the raw energy of cante, the pulse of the guitar, the language of the body in dance, and the power of storytelling.

In “The Poet and the Moon: Lorca’s Flamenco Soul”, we —Inma Montero, dancer and singer; Danielo Olivera, guitarist and singer; and Inés Álvarez Villa, storyteller and narrator. Together, we give life to a space where poetry and Flamenco become one, revealing the timeless themes that Lorca so passionately expressed: love, death, desire, duende, and the mystery of the human soul.

As a Flamenco company rooted in both tradition and artistic exploration, we aim to honour Lorca’s legacy with authenticity and depth, while also opening a dialogue between Flamenco and the universal language of poetry. This production is a tribute not only to a writer, but to an entire cultural memory that continues to resonate across generations.

We invite you to join us in this emotional, powerful, and deeply personal celebration of art, music, and literature.
