Córdoba-born flamenco artist, dancer, choreographer and teacher Inma Montero has been a leading figure in the Scottish flamenco scene since 2011. Trained in classical and flamenco dance from the age of seven, she combines a deep respect for tradition with a contemporary sensitivity that defines her unique style.
Based in Scotland, Inma directs an itinerant flamenco dance school and leads TuFlamenco, the company she co-founded in 2018 with Danielo. Through TuFlamenco she develops performances, productions and educational programmes across the UK, including the acclaimed Flamenco in Scotland series presented at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
As a teacher and choreographer, she delivers classes and workshops in flamenco dance, rhythm, compás and body expression to students of all levels and abilities, both in-person and online. Her teaching focuses on the expressive and emotional power of movement, inspiring confidence, rhythm and connection through flamenco.
With more than a decade of experience performing, directing and teaching across the UK, Inma continues to build cultural bridges through flamenco—sharing its strength, elegance and authenticity with audiences everywhere.
Cádiz-born flamenco artist and songwriter Danielo has been active in the UK music scene since 2002, collaborating in a wide range of projects that blend flamenco with Latin and world music.
Originally from Cádiz and based in Scotland, Danielo is dedicated to performance, education and cultural outreach. Growing up surrounded by music in Andalusia, he later found his artistic voice in Scotland, bringing with him the essence and rhythm of his homeland.
He is the lead singer with the Daniel Martínez Flamenco Company, touring major theatres and festivals across the UK with acclaimed productions such as Art of Believing and Andalucía.
Since 2006, Danielo has performed annually at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, both independently and through TuFlamenco, the company he co-founded in 2018. TuFlamenco produces concerts and offers classes and workshops in guitar, singing, rhythm, dance and compás throughout Scotland, both in-person and online.
Beyond the stage, Danielo leads rhythm and body percussion workshops in schools, hospitals and community centres, working with people of all ages and abilities. For him, flamenco is more than music—it is expression, therapy and connection. His mission is to share its emotional depth, energy and joy with every audience.
TuFlamenco Company focuses on two main fields: education and performance. Founded in 2018 and based in Edinburgh, the academy also offers classes across several Scottish cities, nurturing a growing network of students and followers who form a vibrant flamenco community in Scotland.
Although the company was formally established in 2018, its founders arrived with more than a decade of experience delivering flamenco education and live performances across the UK. Their involvement in the Scottish flamenco scene dates back to 2005–2006, when they began offering classes, workshops and professional shows long before creating an independent company.
TuFlamenco’s talent, passion, dedication and genuine love for this art are truly contagious — something you can experience first-hand by joining our classes, workshops or attending our live performances.
Throughout the years, our artists have brought flamenco to a remarkable variety of settings: theatres, festivals, schools, hospitals, cultural organisations, restaurants, community events and more.
TuFlamenco has successfully delivered numerous professional productions, including several premieres at the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where our work has received 5-star reviews. And indeed, if you have seen flamenco performed in Scotland at any point in the last two decades, chances are that one of our artists was part of it.
